• Uyuni Salt Flats - Four-wheel-drive expedition across the breathtaking landscapes of salt pans at Salar de Uyuni and multicolored deserts of the Sud Lípez region, in the remote southern Bolivian Andes.

• Laguna Colorada, Laguna Verde - The gems of South America's Central Andes offer stunning sceneries and world-class, off-road adventure filled with the daily drama of wildlife in some of the most hidden corners of our world.

• La Paz - The city of contrasts: a unique blend of cultures and ways of life, and located within breathtaking panoramas, with whispers of ancient civilizations at Tiwanaku – one of the most interesting archaeological sites of South America.

Announcing 2012 Special Departures

Day 1 - Santa Cruz
Arrival in Santa Cruz. Meet and assist at airport. Transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure for optional activities.
 
Day 2 - Santa Cruz / Sucre
Transfer to the airport and flight Santa Cruz / Sucre. Meet and assist and transfer to your hotel.
Our half day itinerary today includes a visit to the most important landmarks such as Casa de la Libertad, the beautiful baroque cathedral and other monuments in the old city. [B]
 
Day 3 - Tarabuco Indigenous Market
Visit one of the most authentic street fairs of the Andes (Sundays only). The weavings are some of the best in South America and unique to this part of Bolivia. Back to Sucre in the afternoon. [BL]
 
Day 4 - Potosi - Mines of Cerro Rico
Bus transfer to Potosi (3 hours). Arrival and accommodation in your hotel. This afternoon we will explore the ancient mines of Cerro Rico. [B]
 
Day 5 - Colonial City of Potosi
During its mining heyday in the 17th century, silver from Potosí was taken to Spain and used all over Europe. Now a walk through the streets takes you back to the times of the Spanish conquistadores. [B]
 
Day 6 - Potosi - Uyuni
Bus transfer to Uyuni (6 Hours) and accommodation in your hotel. [B]
 
Day 7 - Uyuni Salt Flats - 4WD Expedition
An unforgettable trip through 12,000 km² (4,500 square miles) of fantastic landscapes. Visit Isla Incahuasi on the way. Arrive Tahua in the afternoon. Accommodation at local "Salt Hotel" owned and run by the community. [BLD]
 
Day 8 - Cross the Salt Flats from Tahua down to Siloli Desert
In the far south of the altiplano known as Sud Lipez, the landscape is shaped out of multicolored deserts and lakes surrounded by salt flats and active volcanoes. [BLD]
 
Day 9 - Laguna Colorada & Laguna Verde. Transfer to La Paz
Departure towards the region of Laguna Colorada and Sol de Mañana. With its volcanic fumes and boiling mud, this is a landscape from the end of the world.
Visit Laguna Verde on the way back to Uyuni.
Arrive Uyuni in the late afternoon. Overnight bus transfer to La Paz. [BL]
 
Day 10 - Arrive La Paz; Visit the city
Arrival in La Paz and transfer to your hotel. Morning at leisure for a well-deserved rest. Half day city tour in the afternoon including the main museums, Valley of the Moon, and the famous "Witch Market".
 
Day 11 - Visit Lake Titicaca & Isla del Sol
Today we head towards Lake Titicaca and drive along the paved road that crosses the central peninsula. Copacabana is our destination. In the afternoon we will cross the Sacred Lake and explore the Island of the Sun and its Incan remains. Back to Copacabana for the night. [BLD]
 
Day 12 - Copacabana and back to La Paz
Visit the basilica of the Black Virgin of Copacabana and its museum or wander around the little town and its surroundings. Return trip to La Paz in the afternoon. [B]
 
Day 13 - Departure day
Day at leisure in La Paz for last shopping opportunities and/or optional activities. Transfer to the airport for international flight. End of our services. [B]
