Our hotels in the Southern Andes :     Hotel de Sal     Hotel de Piedra     Hotel del Desierto     Hotel de los Volcanes As its name describes, our Hotel de Sal is entirely made of pure salt from the Uyuni Salt Flats, and is located near the village of Tahua, 110 km away from the town of Uyuni. The hotel faces the Salt Flats as well as Tunupa volcano. Hotel de Piedra is made of rocks, and is located on the Southern border of the Uyuni Salt Flats, 170 km from the city of Calama, Chile. The design of the hotel is inspired by the picturesque environment on the side of which is has been built : an abandonned city of stones dating back to precolumbian times. Hotel del Desierto is only 40 minutes away from the Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada), in a beautiful desert. This site is accessible from Uyuni (220 km) and San Pedro de Atacama, Chile (150 km).

Hotel de los Volcanes is surrounded by the outstanding scenaries of the protected area of Reserva de Flora y Fauna Andina (REA), and faces Uturunco volcano (over 6000 m.a.s.l.) and the marshlands of Quetena Grande. Access is possible from Uyuni (230 km) as well as from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile (90 km).

All rooms have private bathroom with hot water, solar-powered heating, daily room cleaning. The beds comply with the regulations of the hotel industry.  Indoor restaurants offer buffet style meals : - Breakfast includes a variety of fruit of the season and fresh juice, eggs, bacon. - Lunch is generally served picnic style while on excursion, using local products such as quinoa and llama meat. - Dinner (buffet style) at the hotel includes two kinds of meat and five types of vegetables. All products are fresh, then cleaned and cooked so meals can be both healthy and tasty.

In order to guarantee the highest level of satisfaction to all our guests, a multi-disciplinary group of companies has been formed, including four local communities (TAHUA, SAN PEDRO DE QUEMES, SONIQUERA, and QUETENA GRANDE), the PRODEM Foundation, and our company - FREMEN TOURS.

We are currently in the process of building the hotels (two of which have already been inaugurated), and educating and providing customers' attention expertise to the local people around the hotel grounds : hostelling, food and beverage management, cuisine, hotel maintenance, waste disposal, specialty guiding skills, as well as developping complementary projects such as greenhouses and solar power in nearby villages in order to provide our kitchens with fresh, local produces.
